Synopsis:
Inspired by a true story, a mother’s extreme measures to curb her teenage daughter’s rebelliousness. By putting her daughter Joan through the cruel treatment in a hospital, her punishment turns into her greatest regret.
Director Biography - Junyuan Guan
Junyuan Guan is a film student now studying cinematography at Florida State University. She studied filmmaking at BNU-HKBU United International College for undergrads, and made most of her short films in a very unique experimental style focusing on color and contrast. She is now broadening her focus at FSU, so she can achieve more diverse styles of filmmaking and cinematography. In 2016, she got a chance to be an intern at the Phoenix Satellite TV Station in Beijing as an assistant director for three months. Her editing for the show Starface can be found online with her name in the credits.
